On June 13, 2019, Binh Dinh Provincial People’s Committee issued Decision No. 1983/QD-UBND approving the task of designing architectural symbols of Phu Tai park, Quy Nhon city. Following the direction of the Provincial People’s Committee, the Department of Construction has completed the contents for the entrance exam and launched the contest.
The VTCO – KIDOHU consortium offers the option “Affection and Gratitude Quy Nhon”, which is the result of cooperation between the design team and Sculptor Pham Van Hang (the author of the famous “Mother of the hero” statue, located at the gateway going to Da Nang city). The image of 3 pigeons represents the 3 North – Central – South regions with the messages: meeting – convergence – development and peace – gratitude – loyalty of the land and Binh Dinh people; It also brings to mind the feeling of a familiar family home: harmony, warmth, baby birds lying under the protective wings of their parents.
This architectural symbol has a diameter of 20 m grass hill; the overall height is 15 m (in which the grass hill is 3 m high, the symbol is 12 m high). The frame structure of the icon will be made of amorphous steel frame system; The shell of the icon will be made of stainless steel… According to the Organizing Committee, the construction of the architectural symbol at Phu Tai Park aims to improve the landscape inside the park, and at the same time contribute to creating architectural highlights. landscape architecture around the park area.
