VTCO Won First Prize in Thu Thiem 4 Bridge Architectural Competition

Based on the idea of “Vietnamese Bamboo” with modern architectural design and high art, aiming to build a symbolic image of knowledge, science and modernity, the plan is by the joint venture VTCO – Kunhwa (Korea) proposed the honor of winning first prize in the contest for architectural design plans for Thu Thiem 4 bridge organized by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the plan, Thu Thiem 4 bridge has a total length of about 2,160 m, built in District 2 and District 7. Starting in front of the intersection of Tan Thuan 2 – Nguyen Van Linh bridge (about 200 m towards the intersection Nguyen Van Linh – Nguyen Thi Thap street), go along the existing Nguyen Van Linh street, reach the intersection with Huynh Tan Phat, turn left, connecting to Luu Trong Lu street. The planned location of Thu Thiem 4 bridge cuts through Tan Thuan port area, crosses the Saigon River and connects with Thu Thiem new urban area (District 2) at the North-South axis, then ends at the intersection with route R4.

Thu Thiem Bridge 4 will connect traffic in Thu Thiem New Urban Area with Saigon South New Urban Area, contributing to urban beautification, solving traffic congestion, minimizing accidents, creating conditions to promote and rapidly develop Thu Thiem New Urban Area and Southern New Urban Area.
